9 – 10:15am Special Yin Yoga Class!

Yin Style Yoga with Yoga Spring YogaWrap up the last Saturday of April with this breath-centered Yin Yoga class! Jeanne of YogaSpringYoga.com will gently guide you to encourage your body to stretch and strengthen, leading you to a balanced body and calm mind. This breath-centered Yin class incorporates more relaxing floor postures. It’s a great way to take some rest with your yoga at the end of the month and inspire you for the coming one!

Yoga Spring’s teaching format has evolved to one that encourages students to choose from a variety of specific-focus sessions, workshops, series, and events. You can select or request offerings that most directly speak to your heart, interest, needs, and budget.

No matter what the focus or experience level, options are offered throughout the instruction that can modify a pose so you can choose the adaptation that best meets the needs of your age, body, mood, and energy level on that day. 

For private sessions, Jeanne encourages student reflection and participation as they discuss and outline the poses that will enrich the student’s physical wellness and promote a quiet mind. 

Yoga Spring provides a quiet, peaceful setting where yogis can nurture their bodies, open their hearts, and quiet their minds. Continuous breath-and-body awareness is practiced, and postures are approached with compassion and acceptance, rather than judgement.

Wrap up the last Saturday of March with a breath-centered yin Yoga class! Jeanne gently guides you to encourage your body to stretch and strengthen, leading you to a balanced body and calm mind. This breath-centered Yin class incorporates more relaxing floor postures and is a great way to take some rest with your yoga at the end of the month.

Taught in the Viniyoga tradition, Jeanne’s classes consist of basic yoga postures with an emphasis on breath and movement. We increase mobility of the spine through poses that incorporate extensions, lateral bends, twists (no pretzels!), gentle backbends, and forward bends.

Yoga that’s adaptable to your specific needs!

Throughout class, Jeanne offers options that can make a pose less-strong or stronger, so you can choose the adaptation that best meets the needs of your age, body, mood, and energy level on that day.

Poses are sequenced purposefully to integrate the entire body in a smooth and elegant manner. Each class includes basic postures, along with stronger poses offered with modifications that align with your level of yoga experience.

10 – 11:30am Return to Balance and Length (Unwinding Post Holiday Yoga Event!)

Please join us for Return to Balance and Length, a special practice focused on balance poses and long, lengthening stretches. After weeks of shopping, cooking, visiting, and indulging in holiday feasts and treats, our bodies and minds are craving peace, symmetry, and release.

Stability Meets YIN

Our balance poses, with some done standing and others on the mat, will encourage your body to come back to a lifestyle balance after the holidays. Balance poses also help train your body to stay upright and steady. And, as you strive to maintain balance in a pose, your mind is nowhere but in the present moment!

Our lengthening poses will consist of long stretches and focused breath. As you breathe into and hold a stretch, you’ll notice muscle tension begin to melt and your overstimulated mind gently shifts to low gear.

You might think of this special class as “Stability meets YIN.”

4 – 6pm YIN Yoga + Acupuncture

A Powerful Healing Combination

Autumn is the season to slow down, begin to turn inward, and cultivate mind-body awareness.

Please join Jeanne Startzman, CYI, and Joie Jacala, EAMP, for an early Sunday evening of YIN yoga followed by acupuncture.

There is a synergistic effect that occurs when yoga and acupuncture come together. Both work to increase circulation; improve respiration, energy, and vitality; release stress and eliminate pain; and connect mind-body-spirit.

Stretch and Melt Away Your Distractions with YIN Yoga

Jeanne will lead you through a slow-paced YIN practice, which allows you to lengthen and relax in basic yoga poses for one-to-three minutes, or however long is appropriate for you. All poses are done on the mat, so you’ll discover a welcome grounding while gravity intensifies your stretches, and distractions melt away.

Deepen Your Relaxation and Rejuvenation with Acupuncture

After the 60-minute yoga session, Joie will apply acupuncture needles for 25-to-30 minutes to extend the benefits you obtained during your yoga practice. This is your time to deepen your relaxation and let go of anything that no longer serves you.
